Going gaga for kinetic typography
Just a healthy dose of my growing nostalgia for After Effects and late nights at the Smith Warehouse.

It’s official. I’ve traded in my spunky CA drivers license for a not-so-spunky GA license. I’m still, however, sporting my license plate in this cold, lonely, beach-less city… at least for a few more days.
Well, Atlanta isn’t actually bad at all — I love my new apartment, and there’s been plenty to do around here. I’m just incredibly homesick, Duke-sick, and not used to being on my own. These grown-up chores are no less overwhelming: buying furniture, shopping for groceries, paying bills… did the summer really have to end? And need I mention how wonderfully relaxing this summer was? Family barbeques, driving up the PCH, shopping on Rodeo, county fair visits, cherry-picking Saturdays… complete mental detoxification. My Asia trip was amazing as well. (I was in gastronomical bliss for six weeks straight.)
I still have a few weeks before I start work so that I can adjust to the real world. Call me naive, but I’m oddly excited about starting my new job, probably even more about the prospect of traveling all the time (hello airline points!). Until then, it’s back to this… strange post-college/pre-work limbo.
P.S. My site got a mini-facelift. My desk now portrays my forthcoming new work life!
Welcome to my first Wordpress blog and my first CSS-based site. I’ve finally ventured out of my comfort zone to end my failing romance with archaic HTML tables in favor of its sleeker counterpart. There’s still quite a lot of housekeeping to be done here, but I’ve been itching to launch it. So, steamrolling ahead, I hope you enjoy.
